Every cloud GPU cluster bleeds money while idle. Standard tools (KEDA, cluster autoscaler) only scale down when no pods are scheduled — they don't check if the pods are actually doing GPU work.

The EOSE Chaos Cost Gate checks every 4 hours:

  • If GPU pods are running → leave it alone, retry in 4h
  • If GPU pools are idle → scale to 0 immediately
  • Maximum idle cost: 4h × GPU rate (H100: ~CA$60, T4: ~CA$6)
We went from CA$10,552/month (March) to a projected CA$8,900 (April) with this one gate.
The gate paid for itself in week one.
