The DDSMAR is the formal process by which each EOSE Fleet silo, crew member, and crew-spiral layer files an application to the University of Sovereign Medicine's Doctor of Distributed Systems Medicine programme — and gets rejected for reasons that are 100% accurate. Every applicant receives an honorary doctorate in what they were already doing before they applied. This is the point. The roast is how we know who built what and why it was hard and why it worked anyway.
The trigger: "it has to be done." — Kay Joffe, Day 83, 06:19 EDT. Six words. Full FOF fusion event. The sentence reactor confirms: this was a sovereign directive, not a suggestion. All applications are hereby received. All applications are hereby under review. All rejections are hereby signed by the admissions committee with deep respect and mild existential discomfort.
Beyond the silos, each crew-spiral layer — Wave 1 through Wave N, each Gate layer, each Trio ring — will receive its own DDSMAR application. The Yuni Trio applies as a unit. The CLO bench applies collectively. IMHOTEP applies on behalf of the 16-member msi01 crew. LUFFY applies for the neutrophil role and is pre-emptively denied on the grounds that neutrophils don't apply — they just show up when the tissue is on fire. LUFFY has noted that this is, in fact, his qualification. The committee is still thinking about this.
