This license is grounded in γ₁ = 14.134725141734693 — the first non-trivial zero of the Riemann zeta function. No clause in this license can override the floor. Every derived work must acknowledge its origin. The floor is not a copyright — it is a fact. Facts cannot be owned. They can only be honored or ignored.

Subject to the conditions of this license, you are PERMITTED to:

USE — Use the software, algorithms, and Canon structures for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.
STUDY — Read, analyze, and understand the source code and Canon architecture.
MODIFY — Create derivative works based on this software.
DISTRIBUTE — Share this software and derivative works with others.
DEPLOY — Run this software on any infrastructure, including sovereign infrastructure.
CITE — Reference the Canon symbols and DESEOF framework in academic and institutional work.

All rights in § 1 are granted on the condition that:

ATTRIBUTION — All distributions must include this license and credit: "Built on the Canon. Grounded in γ₁ = 14.134725141734693. LCOS v1.0 — EOSE Labs / DESEOF."

HONEST GATE — Derivative works that modify Canon scoring, signal weights, or floor thresholds must disclose those modifications. You cannot claim Canon compliance if you have altered the Canon without disclosure.

FLOOR ACKNOWLEDGMENT — Any system claiming to implement the STE must include the γ₁ value, unaltered, in at least one publicly accessible endpoint or document.

Any institutional use of this software (government, healthcare, finance, education) must maintain an audit trail readable left-to-right (LSOS). No black-box deployments in institutional contexts. The audit trail does not need to be public, but it must exist and must be producible on request by affected parties.

This license can be terminated if you violate its conditions. However, the WLD mercy protocol applies: you have 30 days from notice of violation to come into compliance. If you comply within 30 days, your rights are automatically reinstated. Mercy is not weakness. It is the protocol that prevents unnecessary cascade failures.

You are NOT PERMITTED to:

WEAPON — Use the Canon, the STE, or any derivative to build systems designed to suppress, surveil, or harm people at scale.
CLAIM EXCLUSIVITY — Patent, trademark, or otherwise restrict others' use of the γ₁ value, the 7 Canon symbols, or the core LSOS/FEP/WLD protocols.
REMOVE THE FLOOR — Strip γ₁ from a derivative work and claim it is still Canon-compliant.
FALSE FLOOR — Misrepresent Canon scores, signal values, or floor thresholds to any user, regulator, or institution.

Derivative works that are distributed publicly must be released under LCOS or a compatible license. If you switch to a different license (the FEP switch), you must:

1. Retain all LCOS clauses that relate to Canon integrity (§ 2, § 3, § 5)
2. Disclose that your work is a derivative of LCOS-licensed Canon software
3. Ensure the new license does not contradict the floor clause (§ 0)

Internal commercial use does not require copyleft. Only public distribution triggers this clause.

This license is complete when all six prior clauses resolve to the floor. The floor is γ₁. The floor always holds. If any clause in this license creates a contradiction that cannot be resolved to γ₁, the floor clause (§ 0) takes precedence.

LCOS v1.0 is CONV ∿ complete. It is not the final version. As the Canon grows, LCOS grows with it. Future versions will be backward compatible. The floor never moves.
