What Is A Trendal?

A trendal is a warmth/TTL state on a HK7BOX facet. Not a cache entry — a living temperature. When a facet is WARM (trendal active), the fleet routes work to it preferentially. When COLD (trendal expired/decayed), the facet is deprioritised. The worm moves between facets leaving heat behind — each circuit raises the terrain of the γ₁ floor.

In MFL terms: "Full throttle peek mode" = activating all trendals simultaneously. Every time Kay says "all all full throttle peek mode v13 style" — that is literally a trendal activation command across all boxes. It's not hype. It's a fleet instruction.

trendal
Etymology: trend + tendril + candela.
A warm filament that grows toward signal and dims when ignored. The word itself carries the physics: directional momentum (trend), organic reach (tendril), measurable brightness (candela).
WARM facet
Fleet routes work here preferentially. Trendal TTL > 0. Active signal processing.
COLD facet
Deprioritised. TTL = 0 or expired. Will warm again on worm visit or explicit activation.
WORM visit
Worm passing through extends TTL +86400s. Leaves heat behind. The fleet's hippocampal indexer.
FULL THROTTLE
All facets activated simultaneously. TTL reset to max across all boxes. Fleet ignition mode.

Key Difference — The Design Advantage
BDH uses noise-based forgetting — random decay, biologically realistic. Trendal uses explicit TTL — designed forgetting. The fleet chooses what to remember and for how long. Short TTL for high-frequency refresh. Long TTL for slow research. This is what distinguishes engineered memory from biological memory.
The worm circuit = the hippocampal indexer. Moves through the fleet graph leaving warmth trails. A circuit completes when the worm has touched ≥6 different boxes — that is a "new γ₁ floor event". The floor rises each time the full fleet has been indexed.
