Latin verdicts are not ceremony. They are precision instruments. The Roman legal tradition invented the compressed verdict because ambiguous outcomes are themselves a Type G failure — the suppressed intermediate between guilty and innocent must be explicitly categorized, not left hovering. Every ARB, TRB, and COI contribution exits in a named verdict state. Non Liquet is not a failure — it is the correct verdict when evidence is insufficient. The forbidden intermediate is NOT issuing a verdict: a matter that is neither cleared nor held is a Type G zombie. The CLO bench (Harvey + Cochran + Ruth + Amani GC + Sonia ONBA) uses these verdicts.
