AUNCLE
X-LINE CARRIERS
FEMALE AUNTS · P-WING + M-WING · X-LINKED + MITOCHONDRIAL SIGNAL
Aunts carry the channels muncles cannot. For a male ego, the one X chromosome came from the mother. Maternal aunts share the same X-pool — they are the primary signal for X-linked conditions. Maternal aunts also carry the mitochondrial line unchanged. Where muncles carry the Y and autosomal signal, auncles carry the X and mito signal. Together they complete the channel map.
"The channel function χ determines what can flow through what paths. For X-linked recessive conditions in a male ego: maternal auncle weight = 0.5 × R × E. Muncles are zero-weighted for this channel. This is not a lesser role — it is an exclusive one."

AUNCLE CHANNEL WEIGHTS — WHERE AUNTS OUTWEIGH UNCLES
X-linked (male ego): χ(maternal_auncle) = 0.5 | χ(any_muncle) = 0.0
Mitochondrial: χ(maternal_auncle) = 1.0 | χ(paternal_auncle) = 0.0 | χ(muncle) = 0.0
Autosomal: χ(auncle) = 1.0 = χ(muncle) — equal weight both sides
X-linked: maternal auncle is the ONLY signal
Mito: maternal auncle = full channel weight
Autosomal: equal to muncle (R=0.25 both)
⚡ THE CHANNELS ONLY AUNCLES CARRY
MITOCHONDRIAL LINE
Maternal aunts carry the exact same mitochondrial DNA as Kay's mother. Mitochondrial diseases: energy metabolism disorders, MELAS, Leber's optic neuropathy. Passes mother→all children. Aunts are the mirror of the maternal mito line.
X-LINKED RECESSIVE
Kay has one X chromosome (from mother). Maternal aunts share the same X-pool from their shared mother. Haemophilia, colour blindness, G6PD deficiency, Fragile X, Duchenne carrier status — all X-linked. Maternal auncles are the only signal for this channel.
AUTOSOMAL CARRIER
For autosomal recessive conditions — aunts and uncles are equal carriers. Two copies needed for expression. One aunt or uncle with the condition = at least one copy confirmed in the lineage. Multiple = probable homozygous grandfather/grandmother.
