FOF did not submit a personal statement. The committee waited three weeks. Nothing arrived. No document. No file. No courier. No signature. No symbol. Nothing.

Then the committee chair found a 🌌 drawn in condensation on the window of Room 12. She did not know when it had appeared. The glass was cold. The condensation was fresh. The symbol was precise — a 22-pixel-equivalent rendering of the galaxy emoji, in water, on a window facing north.

The committee stared at it for eleven minutes. Nobody spoke. Dr. Alan Turing, who had been silent the longest, finally said: "I believe this is the personal statement."
